Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! And I love to have a variety of breakfast recipes to switch it up depending on my mood (and my kids’ mood). All of these recipes have been tested and are my top favorite breakfast recipes that will help you start the day out right, no matter what you are in the mood for! And each recipe is unique, giving you a wide range of breakfast ideas to level-up your breakfast game.
Below you will find a mix of both healthy and indulgent recipes to satisfy whatever you are craving. I have broken the recipes into four groups: breakfast sandwich and wraps, toast and flatbreads, meal prep-friendly and sweet breakfast recipes.

Breakfast burritos are a great way to add flavor and protein to your breakfast! This easy egg breakfast burrito features scrambled eggs, crispy fries, cheddar cheese, a homemade Pico de Gallo, and smokey chipotle sauce. It is spicy, flavorful and fully loaded to keep you full!
This recipe is also flexible, and you customize it to your personal preference! Add more protein, such as sausage, chorizo, or bacon. Or boost the veggies by adding spinach to the eggs.
3. Jalapeno Popper Breakfast Sandwich

This breakfast sandwich is a beast! It takes the classic jalapeno popper flavors and puts it into savory breakfast recipe! This sandwich has layers of cream cheese, scrambled eggs with chives, crispy bacon, and roasted jalapenos. All this goodness is placed between a hearty French bread (or bread of choice).
This jalapeno popper breakfast sandwich is one of my top favorite egg recipes and is the perfect match for all jalapeno popper lovers. It comes together in about 25 minutes and will become one of your new favorites too!
4. Crispy pesto and goat cheese breakfast egg wrap

This breakfast wrap has so much FLAVOR! The creamy goat cheese pairs so beautifully with the bright homemade pesto and savory eggs. The wrap is summer forward but could be enjoyed any time of the year, making it an amazing choice for breakfast year around.
And I personally love the crispy tortilla that holds the scrambled eggs, tomatoes, goat cheese, red onion and pesto! It adds texture to the wrap that would otherwise fall flat.
This breakfast wrap takes about 20 minutes to make and will one that you will want to make on repeat once you give it a try!
5. Spinach Pesto Egg Sandwich

This breakfast sandwich features a spinach pesto, Havarti cheese, scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes. The spinach pesto keeps this sandwich fresh and full of vegetables, making it a healthy start to the day! I love this sandwich paired with sourdough bread, but you can choose your favorite bread.
You will need about 25 minutes to make this egg sandwich, making it a pretty quick egg breakfast to start the day off right.

You can make this avocado toast under 20 minutes or even save time by making the red pepper sauce in advance and storing it in the fridge. That way you can whip this toast up quickly on busy mornings!
7. Grilled Zucchini and Burrata Toast

This toast recipe is egg free and is packed with grilled zucchini and burrata cheese. It is then topped with pistachios and hot honey. I love this toast in the summer when its grilling season and want a fresh and vegetable-based breakfast.
You only will need a handful of ingredients and less than 20 minutes to make this toast recipe. Plus, it gives you the perfect excuse to fire up the grill!
8. Cherry Toast with Chocolate Yogurt and Pistachios

This sweet toast idea has layers of Greek yogurt with chocolate protein powder, fresh cherries, pistachios and mini chocolate chips. The Greek yogurt mixed with protein powder adds more chocolate flavor but also boost the protein in this toast to help keep you full.

It is big enough to share (if you want), and can all be made in one skillet, saving time on dishes! You will need about 45 minutes to make this hearty breakfast, but it is well worth the wait!

This loaded breakfast flatbread has fresh pesto, thinly sliced potatoes, crispy bacon, creamy goat cheese and pine nuts to create an unforgettable breakfast! This eggless breakfast has so much flavor and has become one that my husband request often!
Just like the chipotle flatbread above, you will need a little more time to make this savory breakfast recipe-about 40 minutes. But I promise, it is worth the time. And a great weekend breakfast for the family to enjoy!

11. Oatmeal Apple Bread

This cinnamon apple oatmeal bread is gluten-free and so simple to make! The apples are grated into the batter, creating all those fall-apple flavors without the large apple chunks. I love this for breakfast in the fall time when I am craving all the cozy spices. And this oatmeal-based bread is free from refined sugar and gluten!
Plus, you can make this oat apple bread and enjoy it throughout the week for breakfast! You will need about 55 minutes to make this gluten-free apple bread recipe, but it will last for a few days’ worth of breakfasts!
12. Cottage Cheese Egg Bites with Goat Cheese and Potatoes

This protein packed cottage cheese egg bites with goat cheese and potatoes are the perfect breakfast on the go! The cottage cheese not only adds protein to these handheld egg bites but also creates a fluffy texture to the eggs. Then the potatoes, chives, goat cheese and touch of parmesan cheese adds all the flavor you could ask for!

This egg-based breakfast casserole is made with eggs, cottage cheese, potatoes, chives, onions and cheddar cheese. The recipe was inspired by Starbucks Potato and chive egg bites, but I made it in the form of a casserole. And it is homemade, which saves money and always is better! The casserole is fluffy and always a crowd-pleaser.
You will need about 55 minutes to make this egg casserole, but you can make the casserole in advance to cut back time in the morning. Or make it once and enjoy it throughout the week.

15. Brown Butter and Buttermilk Peach Pancakes

These brown butter and buttermilk pancakes with peaches are not your ordinary pancakes! They are fluffy, have a slightly nutty flavor from the brown butter and are smothered in sauteed peaches. This is the first coffee cake recipe of a few in this blog post because they are one of my favorite sweet breakfast treats. There is just something about a coffee cake that is so irresistible! The warm cinnamon streusel topping, soft and moist cake and always pairs perfectly with coffee. And coffee cakes can be so versatile! You can keep it classic or switch it up with different fruits. And this summer forward blueberry and peach coffee cake is so dreamy! It works as a sweet breakfast, brunch or dessert. And is always crowd-pleaser.
You will need about 50 minutes to make this summer coffee cake but 35 minutes of that it will be baking in the oven.
17. Carrot Coffee Cake with Cream Cheese

Another coffee cake recipe, but this time with carrots and a sweet cream cheese center! This coffee cake some of those warm spices you typically find in a carrot cake, and they pair perfectly with the cream cheese! It is soft, lightly sweetened and of course is heavenly with a cup of coffee.
This coffee cake takes a little longer because it has the three components: Carrot cake batter, cream cheese, and cinnamon crumb topping. But it is well worth it! This carrot coffee cake will take a little over an hour to make from start to finish.
18. Lemon Blueberry Crumb Cake

This soft crumb cake has a touch of lemon flavor and is packed with blueberries. The cake is fluffy, tender and one of my top favorites! It could be called a coffee cake…the only difference is really that the crumb layer is thicker compared to a traditional coffee cake. But whatever you call it, I promise, you will love it! It is perfect with coffee and some eggs for a next level breakfast.
You can whip this blueberry crumb cake up in less than an hour (majority of the time is baking in the oven). It is actually pretty easy to make and is perfect to make for the family.

Cake for breakfast?! Yes please! This oatmeal-based breakfast cake has fresh peaches, rolled oats, cinnamon sugar topping and a Greek yogurt whipped cream. It packs a little protein and has just the right amount of sweetness. This peach breakfast cake is heartly yet still feels fresh and bright.

20. Pistachio Coffee Cake with Cream Cheese

I warned you that the sweet section would be heavy with the coffee cakes! And I could not leave this sour cream pistachio coffee cake with cream cheese off the list! It is so moist, is made with real pistachios, has a sweet cream cheese layer and cinnamon sugar crumb topping. This coffee cake feels a little more on the indulgent side and works well as a breakfast or dessert.

And blueberry muffins are my kid’s absolute favorite sweet breakfast. Plus, these are not your ordinary blueberry muffins. These muffins are made with a nutty brown butter and sweetened with honey. They are light, fluffy and so flavorful!
