The Best Apple bread

Chalk it up to serendipity or just my plain old baking genius, but this apple bread recipe was my first viral recipe! With a crumb so tender it practically sighs when you slice it, and a sweetness that’s as perfect as finding money in your old jeans, this apple bread is truly the apple of my eye (pun intended). It truly is the best apple bread I have ever had.

So what makes the apple bread so special? The grated apples for one blend perfectly into the bread. The apple sauce not only helps boast apple flavor but reduces the amount of oil needed in the recipe. And the cinnamon sugar butter is just brings this recipe to the next level.

Before you get to baking, here some helpful tips with this apple bread.

  1. There is no need to squeeze out any extra liquid from grating the apples. Go ahead and just put it straight into the mixing bowl.
  2. This bread comes out best when baked until the bread has just set. Start with the lowest bake time and check the bread with knife or tooth pick. It is ready once it comes out clean.
  3. You can store the bread on the countertop in a air tight container for about 2 days or in the fridge for 3-4 days. Make sure to store the cinnamon sugar butter in the fridge.
