Delicious Orange Loaf Cake with Chocolate Chips

A moist and flavorful orange loaf cake with chocolate chips. This recipe takes only about 10 minutes of prep time and makes for tasty sweet breakfast, snack or dessert.
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 C. Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 C. Neutral oil (avocado, canola or vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 C. Milk
  • 2/3 C. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 C. Orange Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Orange zest
  • 2 C. All-purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 3/4 C. Chocolate chips (plus more to sprinkle over the loaf)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine all the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda) together in a medium bowl. Whisk together and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Beat together with a stand mixer, electric hand mixer, or by hand with a whisk, for about 30 seconds. If using a whisk, whisk together for about 1 minute.
  • Add the oil, milk, vanilla extract, Greek yogurt, orange juice and orange zest to the egg and sugar mixture. Beat or whisk together until fully combined.
  • Pour the dry ingredients into the wet. Mix together until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and fold into the batter.
  • Pour or scoop the batter into a 9x5 lined with parchment paper (or well greased) loaf pan. Sprinkle over a few extra chocolate chips over the batter (optional). Bake for 45-55, or until the batter is fully set. When done, a toothpick will come out clean when inserted into the center of the loaf.
